The Marathon Pentathlon is for everyone. Male, Female, adult, child - everyone in the family. It is an event for those who compete, and for their fans and other spectators.

Prizes donated by local businesses are being given to the top finishers of all 5 events and to the top Pentathletes who finish all five events alone.

The first event in The Marathon Pentathlon is a SWIM for a distance of just short of 1/4 mile, and swimmers will dive in the water after the conch shell is blown at 8am. The next two events will be a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) race and a KAYAK race. (all SUPs and kayaks are being supplied by Wheels-2-Go who is located next to the Gulfside Plaza. They have plenty of boards and kayaks in inventory for those competitors wanting to do some training). The 4th event takes place on the driving range where Pentathletes have two drives for the longest drive. The 5th event is the FOOT RACE running from tee box on the golf course down the fairways to the greens.

All equipment is supplied. The only things that Pentathletes have to do is register and show up with swimming attire and running shoes. Sponsors for each pentathlete supply tee shirts and other items for all Pentathletes to display - with the Pentathlete's name on the shirt.

The entire event will be televised by Marathon Florida TV88, and will be made in to a movie called "The Marathon Pentathlon, October, 2017".

All Registration Fees are allocated to pay intern Florida Keys students who are provided with cameras and production equipment for the purpose of providing free promotional videos and free coverage of non-profit events throughout The Florida Keys.
