You have the option of racing 1 Lap (5 miles) or 2 Laps (10 miles) as an individual.

I Train in Lycra: you run sub-25 minute (men) & sub-30 min (women) laps, race competitively on a regular basis (outside of TNRL) and are or have been a ranked cyclist. It's likely you currently shave your legs (or have in the past). ;-)
Faster Than You: Your average TNRL lap time is 25-30 minutes (men) and 30-35 (women), sometimes you're fast, sometimes you're not. You prefer the ride MTB only, wear baggy clothes, don't shave and maybe don't shower as often as you should. You like to go fast and love when you PR or beat a friend on Strava.
I'm here for the Bikes & the Beers: your average lap time is 30+(men) and 35+(women) at MLP, but that's only if you've timed it, which maybe you haven't, and that's cool with you. You love to ride and hang, like to get faster but enjoy the cold beer at the end of the ride almost as much as the ride itself. You don't race regularly and this may be the first and/or only race you do (becuase it's so dang fun).
Young Guns: you are young, you love to ride, love to race, and have a bright future in front of you. No time constraints on this category- this is for everyone UNDER 21.
