First of it's kind (we think). Mountain Bike and Standup Paddleboard Duathalon. Do it solo and or in teams of two. Keeners, Co-ed's, and anyone who wants to pedal and paddle all in one day, at the same place. Kalavida Surf Shop and Sun Country Cycle are joining forces to bring you this one-of-a-kind event.

We're taking over Cosen's Bay in Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park for an afternoon on the trails and water. We're keeping it fairly simple and there will be plenty of surprises, prizes and more. Do it solo or get a friend and buddy-up. Prizes for winners and randomness (costumes, crashes, whatnot)

Friday, June 14
Registration – Late Registration until 5pm at Sun Country Cycle and Kalavida Surf Shop

Saturday, June 15
10:00am-12:00pm – Super Late Registration at Race HQ in Cosen’s Bay Beach
12:30pm – Paddleboard Demo (for newbies)
2:00pm – Start of the race
Awards to follow the finish of the race
3:30pm – Relay Races

Race Categories:
Solo – Female ($25)
Solo – Male ($25)
Relay – Team of two (mixed) ($45)
Location: Cosen’s Bay Beach and Trails
Parking: Cosen’s Bay Parking Lot

Basic Format:
1 Lap of SUP Course - Approx 8 minutes
1 Lap of Bike Course - Approx 24 minutes
2 Laps of SUP Course - Approx 16 minutes

Awards and Prizes: Top 3 in each category plus random acts of awardness

Food and Entertainment:
• BBQ
• Snacks and drinks available for purchase
• Music
• Frisbee, hacky-sack, SUP Polo

FAQ:
How do I get my board to the beach? - We will be shuttling boards from Cosen's Bay parking Lot down to the beach starting at 9am. Get there early to help us get organized. At the end of the event (4:30ish) we will shuttle boards back up to the parking

Can I rent a board or a bike? Kalavida will have some boards available for use at now charge - they will be at the beach. If you want to rent one in advance, call the shop to arrange. $25 for the day. Currently, Sun Country doesn't have any boards so ask a friend.
