OUTLINE ::


The Birch Open is a sanctioned CCSAM Manitoba Cup Cross-Country Ski Race put on by Birch Mountain Sports. The event is open to all athletic capabilities and ages.

Individual skiers must hold a valid membership with a CCSAM club, a CCC-member club from another Division, a CCC Supporting Member Day License or holding a valid and current CCC/FIS race license.

If you don't hold a valid membership with a CCSAM club, a CCC-member club from another Division or a CCC/FIS race licence you must purchase a CCC Supporting Member Day License when registering.

EVENT FORMAT ::


- Mass start
- Free technique with classic tracks

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS ::


- 10:00 to 11:00 am -- Race office open for bib pick up
- 11:15 am -- Coaches and Officials meeting in clubhouse
- 12:00 pm -- Race starts
- Medal & award ceremony immediately following end of race

ENTRY FEES


- Atom -- Free
- PeeWee & Midgets -- $ 20.00
- Juvenile, Junior & Senior -- $ 30.00
- Masters -- $ 35.00
- Citizen Race -- $ 20.00 per day

RACE CATEGORIES


- MB Cup Race: Born 2009 or earlier. Sanctioned MB Cup Race and age category according CCSAM guidelines.
- Citizen Race; Born 1995 or earlier. Non-sanctioned open age category race. Race Distance 5 km.
