Welcome to the 2026 2km Somerton Classic

 

NOTE:  NO ON THE DAY REGISTRATIONS. REGISTRATIONS CLOSE FRIDAY, 23 JANUARY @ 23:59. 

 

 

Races Distances-2km Somerton Classic

Location- Somerton SLSC

When-25th January 2025 Check-in 8:30 am Race 10:00 am

Cost Masters $35.00 and Non-Members $40.00

PAYMENT ON RACE DAY DURING REGISTRATION-

Card Payment must be done on the day during registations on the day NO CASH EFTPOS ONLY

 

No on-the-day entries will be accepted

 

Open to all comers 18 years and over.

 

Prizes for the first  Males & Females across the line in 2km event are available to all competitors. Registered SA Masters are eligible for Age Group awards. Additional lucky door prizes for all.

 

Swimmer Check-in: 8:30 am to 9:30 am on the Beach in front of the Somerton Surf Life Saving Club.

 

Race briefing and Team photos at 9:45

 

The course is a rectangular course (see diagram).  In-water starts between the buoys with a finish at the water’s edge near the inflatable arch.

 

The 2km race will start at 10:00 with competitors swimming 2 laps in an anti-clockwise direction. Time limits of 75 minutes

 

Results and presentation of prizes will be held as soon as possible in the Somerton SLSC Bar and Bistro. Bookings recommended. https://www.thesomerton.com.au
