Come down to Kalapaki Bay Marriott side for our free race and safety clinic sponsored by the Kauai Lifeguard Association, with a delicious lunch provided by Duke's after the race! Come for a VHF radio use tutorial, learn about ocean safety awareness and the culture of outrigger canoe paddling, and share your knowledge with new paddlers.

8:30 am | Rig and register
9:30 - 10:30 am | Safety paddling clinic, on and off water; talk story session with paddlers, life guards and coast guard
11:00 am | Races start

12:00 pm | Lunch and Prizes

Safety

Each paddler/canoe must have with them:

spare paddle
leash
high-visibility apparel and hat
All vessels could be inspected by race officials. Highly recommended would be one or all of these: a cellphone or cell-connected Apple Watch, VHF marine radio, whistle, compact air horn, etc.
