TruStrength Skimo Race #1

This event has two formats to choose from:  

Individual Full Course Format: 

• Racers should expect approximately 4k of vert and skiing on variable terrain.

• If conditions allow, racers should be able to ski ungroomed terrain up to a double black diamond difficulty. 

• Racers must wear a helmet at all times and be able to securely attach skis to their body during bootpack sections. 

• Racers must follow designated uphill, downhill, bootpack sections, and transition areas.

Two Hour Laps Format: (Time frame may change depending on location of the event) 

• Racers should expect approximately 1k of vert for each lap and are required to follow a designated uphill route. 

• Helmets are required for downhill skiing 

• Laps must be started within the 2 hour time limit to count. (Ex. You can start your last lap at 1 hr 59 mins) 

• This format accommodates ANY level of downhill ski ability

Once you have decided your format, we further categorize you by the gear you are using:

Lightweight “skimo” gear = Under 80mm underfoot ski width 

Traditional “ heavy metal” gear = Over 80mm underfoot ski width, this includes telemark gear.

Other = Splitboards, etc.
