I acknowledge that: 1. The activities involved in this event entail major risks, including the inherent risks in running and cycling on public paths and roadways, which can include resultant bodily injury. 2. This event involves strenuous exercise, and it is my responsibility to ensure I am suitably fit and healthy to safely undertake it. I am aware that the leading cause (more than 90%) of non-traumatic sudden death of athletes is related to pre-existing cardiac abnormalities. If there are any doubts, it is my responsibility to consult an appropriately qualified medical practitioner. 3. When travelling on public roads, I am bound by the normal rules of the road, including those governing right-of-way at intersections, roundabouts, stop signs, give-way signs, the need to stop to give way to traffic off-loading from the Settlement Point ferry, etc. In addition, bicycle riding more than two abreast is prohibited. 4. The conduct of the event is subject to the specific Conditions imposed by the NSW Police Force (available for inspection at Race Registration desk, or which can be supplied on request). 5. I participate in this event at my own risk, in full knowledge of the potential hazards inherent in this sport; and hereby release and absolve the PMTC and its affiliated Officers, agents or representatives from all responsibility, liability or claims of any nature which I may have arising from my participation.
