NONSTOP NORDIC Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk and Release (Please read carefully before signing).
Entry into NONSTOP NORDIC events is permitted only for those competitors who have valid risk waivers signed by themselves and, where the competitor is under 18, signed by their parent or guardian.
By signing this waiver, I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following terms as a condition of my participation in the Nonstop Nordic Race Series (the "Event") organized by Nonstop Nordic, its employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates (collectively, the "Event Organizers").
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that cross-country skiing is an inherently risky sport that involves various dangers and hazards, including but not limited to:
Slips, falls, collisions with obstacles, other participants, or race course features.
Environmental hazards such as uneven terrain, ice, snow, or inclement weather.
Physical exertion and the potential for personal injury, including sprains, fractures, or heart-related issues.
I acknowledge that these risks are inherent in the sport of cross-country skiing and racing and that my participation in the Event carries these risks, whether they are caused by my own actions, the actions of other participants, or the conditions of the event or the course.
2. Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Event, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Event Organizers, their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, and agents from any and all liability for injuries, death, loss, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Event, including those arising from the negligence of the Event Organizers or any other person or entity involved in the Event.
3. Medical Consent
I certify that I am physically fit and able to participate in the Event. I agree to immediately inform race officials of any medical conditions or limitations that may affect my ability to safely participate. In the event of an emergency, I give my consent for medical personnel to administer necessary treatment, including transportation to a medical facility, if required.
4. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Event Organizers, their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, and agents from any and all claims, actions, demands, or damages, including legal costs, arising from my actions or omissions related to my participation in the Event.
5. Use of Likeness
I grant permission to the Event Organizers to use any photographs, videos, or other recordings of me during the Event for promotional, marketing, or educational purposes without compensation.
6. Compliance with Rules
I agree to abide by all race rules and regulations provided by the Event Organizers. I understand that failure to comply with these rules, including disregarding safety measures, may result in my disqualification from the Event.
7. No Refunds
I understand that my registration fee is non-refundable, regardless of my participation in the Event or the outcome.
8. Severability
If any provision of this waiver is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
9. Acknowledgment of Understanding
I have read this waiver and fully understand its contents. I am aware that by signing this waiver, I am releasing the Event Organizers from liability and agreeing to assume the risks associated with my participation in the Event.
