Somerset Surf Enduro 2025 - Board Races
Saturday, October 11, 2025 The event will be held in adherence to Covid-19 regulations.
The long course will be an approximately 12km downwind course.
Easterly conditions: The race will start in front of the Burnie Yacht Club and finish in front of the Somerset SLSC.
Westerly conditions: The race will start in front of Guttridge Gardens approx. 400m upstream from the Wynyard Yacht Club jetty and boat ramp and will finish in front of the Somerset SLSC.
Severe weather option: The race will start in front of the Wynyard Yacht Club.
ENDURO 12km Events
Race Check in at the location (Wynyard or Burnie) and is open from 11:15am. Briefing will follow at 11:40am.
Race Start 12pm
Safety equipment required: hi-vis vests, flare or phone,leg ropes and approved PFD.
BOARD RACES
The board races will be held on a 4km and 2km course off Somerset Beach.
Board Race Check in will open from 9:15am
Briefing 9:45 for a 10:00am Start
Safety equipment required: hi-vis vests
All boat and IRB retrievals will be west of the Somerset SLSC Clubhouse It is expected that competing clubs assist with water safety (please contact Mark Anderson for more information 0437257015). Parking will be on the grass west of the clubhouse. Food and drink for purchase will be available.
