PV Sandridge Bay Classic 2025

2025 PV Ocean Paddling Sandridge Bay Classic, Sandridge Life saving Club, 240 The Boulevard, Port Melbourne

Check-in: 8.45am to 9.15am. Paddler briefing 9:20am. Racing starts 10:00am. 

This event is hosted by Paddle Vic Ocean Paddling and Sandridge Life Saving Club. Entry fees  are $35 per adult and $25 per junior for Paddle Vic/Australia members. Non members are most welcome to enter, an additional Paddle Australia single fee charge will be applied to cover insurances of $24 per adult and $12 per junior.
 
This is a designated open water event. Craft must be suitable for open water and carry the relevant buoyancy, and is open to ocean racing skis, spec skis, sea kayaks, outriggers, stand up paddle boards and prone boards. Single and two person craft are welcome. Each paddler must register. 
 
You may choose the distance you wish to paddle. However, please do not choose the longest distance unless you can paddle at greater than 9 km/hr over that distance. 
 
The race is a lap course, over 6km, 10km or 14km distance.
 
Wearing of an approved high vis Life Jacket / PFD (personal flotation device) and use of a leg leash is mandatory for this event for all craft except outrigger and sea kayaks. It is advised to wear warm clothing suitable for cold water immersion. You must be able to remount your craft in the case of capsize. 

All paddlers will be required to pass through a safety checkpoint prior to entering the water. 

COVID-19
Do not attend if you have symptoms, are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine. 
Maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between others at all times. 
Observe face covering, cough etiquette and personal hygiene measures.
