Saturday June 14: 3pm Range Set up and open training for experienced biathletes

 

Sunday June 15:

Mountain Bike

Men 9km

Women, MM4, Juniors 6km

Four shooting bouts and a time penalty for each missed target.

 

Mass Start

Men 6km

Women, MM4, Juniors 5km

Four shooting bouts and a penalty loop for each missed target.

 

8:30 to 9:30 am: On-site check in

10:00 to 10:15 am: Equipment Check – all competitors must go through equipment check

10:15 to 11:00 am: Zeroing period

11:15 am: Race time – Mountain Bike

TBD: Mass Start (Several heat start times may be posted, depending on numbers)

 

Safety Certification:

*USBA Rifle Safety Course is a two part safety course, please find Part 1 at https://center.usbiathlon.org (Education, U.S. Biathlon Courses, Basic Rifle Safety Course). Please contact bob.vallor@wabiathlon.org to arrange Part 2 (Assessment) and your volunteer day*.   

 

The USBA "Red Book" are no longer valid.  If you are unsure if you are up to date with the BRSC please email info@wabathlon.org.

 

Rifles: Pool rifles will be available for novices and those without their own. These are Izhmash biathlon rifles. We only have a limited number of rifles to loan. REQUEST RIFLE AT CHECK IN.

 

Ammo: Two box limit on ammo purchases at checkin.
