About

For A Good Koss is a 501(c)(3) organization established to honor Sarah Koss and to ensure that all children have the opportunity to learn in their own unique way. We are excited to host our second Let Your Imagination Run 5k & Children's 1k on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Sarah Koss was an avid and joyful runner, so this fun run is the perfect way to bring together the community to celebrate what would have been her 44th birthday (on July 30th). This event benefits For A Good Koss, and all proceeds will go towards our community education events and music scholarships.

Parking

The Sunday road closure extends up Blue Heron Lake Drive, so there will be no direct access to the start/finish line by vehicle. The closest vehicle access is at the Blue Heron Lake Boathouse. You can park in this area and walk to the Pioneer Log Cabin Picnic Area a few hundred meters away. We encourage San Francisco residents to take public transportation or Lyft/Uber.

Tech Drive

This year, we're partnering with DigitalLift, a local nonprofit that refurbishes donated tech—like laptops, desktops, monitors, and chargers—for underserved communities. If you have any gently used devices, please consider donating them—there will be a collection bin available at the race.
