Please note that for safety reasons, personal music devices, headphones, and dogs/pets are prohibited during the event. In consideration of acceptance of this entry into this event, I hereby for myself, my administrators, my heirs, and assigns assume any and all risks that might be associated with the event and I further waive and release any and all claims, including negligence, that I may have against Ithaca City School District, Northeast Elementary School, Northeast Elementary School PTA, DeWitt Middle School, DeWitt Middle School PTA, the Finger Lakes Runners Club, the organizers, event sponsors, volunteers, Town of Ithaca, or the Village of Cayuga Heights, for any injuries or damages of any kind whatsoever suffered by me or to my personal property as a result of participation in the event and related activities before and after. I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I assume all risks associated with running in this event for myself and my children including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and course conditions, and waive any and all claims which I might have based on any of those and other risks typically found in running a road race. I acknowledge that all such risks are known and understood by me. In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency arising during the event, I hereby authorize and give my consent to the event organizers to secure any medical treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully financially responsible for payment of any such services. I acknowledge that my entry fee is nonrefundable, even should the race be canceled due to extreme weather or unforeseen act of mankind. I voluntarily assume these risks, and I hereby release and discharge all of the entities and persons named above from all claims or liabilities relating to any injury, loss, or any other illness that I may contract during this race. I hereby attest that I am physically fit to participate in this event and give full permission for the use of my name and image in photographs in conjunction with the event and event publicity. By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver.
