In keeping with the season, the race set up to be festive 😀 It will not be part of the Paddler of the Year Points. Outriggers and SUPs are welcome.
LOCATION:
Off Riverton Drive North, Post Code 6148. Toilets and plenty of parking available right alongside the course.
DISTANCES
Main course: 5 laps 11.6km [with or without portage]
Short Course: 3 shorter laps [approx. 6km]
Guppy Course: 2 shorter laps [approx. 3km]
PORTAGE:
The portage [x 5 will be short [approx 30m]. Paddlers in both K1s & Skis can portage if they choose.
CATEGORIES:
According to gender, age & boat, portage or non-portage. Age category guidelines: For 35+ and older, age group is as per age at the end of the year [e.g. 35 at end of year = 35+]. For U18 and younger, the definition is “18 or under at the end of the year” [e.g. 14 at end of year = U14].
HAZARDS:
Course can be exposed to wind although unlikely as sheltered from the prevailing easterly. Water can be shallow but is always passable. In-water hazards include the fence and a sunken barge alongside the fence.
REGISTRATION NOTES:
PA Number: Remember your PA number needs to be 6 digits & have PA in front of it. Your date of birth needs to be YYYY-MM-DD with hyphens
Team Boats: All paddlers register separately, include partner(s) name in field provided
Close Date: Registration closes mid-night Thursday 4th January
