Designed to be the FASTEST marathon course in Hawai’i and one of the fastest in the world!
The new course will be similar to the old course with 3+ miles added near the start in Volcano.

Marathon Course Rules: On Hwy 11, Runners to only use the shoulder of the highway facing traffic
DO NOT USE VEHICLE TRAVEL LANE OR RISK A DQ!!
Restrictions: No Transfers, Cancellations or Rollovers Allowed
Race Time Limit: Runners are expected to finish the race by 12 pm. Water Stops will be closed based on a 6 hour marathon pace and runners slower than 15 min per mile pace will be required to be self-sufficient

Note - Headlamp or flashlight are REQUIRED for ALL RUNNERS until civil twilight (6:25 am) and it is RECOMMENDED to wear bright colored clothing to be visible.
