East Hawaii Challenge

The East Hawaii Challenge will be held on Saturday April 6th. 

The race includes two courses a 12 mile Long Course and a 7 mile Short Course. Depending on conditions, the race will be from Leleiwi Park to Bayfront Park

On-line registration opens: Wednesday  MARCH 27th.

Race Day Check-in is 8 to 9 am at the Kamehameha Halau at BayFront Park

Race Meeting will be at Leleiwi Park at 9:30

BE AWARE THAT THE MERRIE MONARCH PARADE is on the same day and traffic patterns in downtown Hilo will be altered.  Plan to arrive early and expect heavier traffic.

Register and payment online 24 hours in advance, REGISTRATION CLOSES FRIDAY, April 5th at 6 pm. No registrations will be allowed the day of the race.  

Fees are $20 for members and $35 for non-members.

Canoes must have numbers on both sides at the bow. Paddlers without a number will be assigned one, which they can pick up at check-in. Paddlers that have already been assigned a previous temporary number should register with and reuse that number.
