Portage has been Shortened:
The portage for 2024 has been shortened to reflect the short portage in the upcoming Marathon Nationals in S Australia. The portage will start on the same beach as normal and will re-enter on the next beach up [not go round the trees to Sandy Beach]. The maps have not been changed as the portage will return to as per the map, nexty year and onwards.
Paddle Australia Input
If PA number is less than six digits add zeros in front, also add PA. Put DOB in as 1956-05-08, YYYY-MM-DD
Age Group Definitions
If you are 35 or 35 + at year end you are 35+. If you are 16 or under 16 but more than 14 at year end you are U16
ICF 5Yr Intervals
If there are 4 or more paddlers either side of an age group threshold, additional 5yr interval brackets will be created on the start list [e.g. 40+, 50+, 60+]

Non Portage & OS1 Together
55+ K1 Non Portage will be on same wave as equivalent OS1
Medals
Medals to be presented at the end of each morning. All paddlers on podium will receive medals Note no medals for Mixed Doubles, already done at Moore River
