2024 Race Around the Can - V1

In collaboration with NCOCA Golden State Outrigger is hosting the 2nd annual ALL V1 (rudderless) race. Each competitor will run a short course in Open Men (race 1); Open Women (race 2) or Novice - men, women & Junior 19 & under (race 3).

The top 20 OPEN Finishers will run a FINAL 5+ mile course.

Bring your V1, loan your V1 for the alternate heats or let us know you need to borrow! ARE Outrigger World V1 canoes will be available for demo and racing. Paddlers must register and indicate they 'need to borrow to be assigned a canoe'. There may also be a need for more V1's and your ability to loan your V1 for another racer would be appreciated. Please indicate in the registration form that you are able to loan and we'll match you up!

• Registration/check-in:8:30 AM. 
• Pre-race chat:  9:15 AM. 
• Men 3 mile Race start: 9:30 AM. 
• Women 3 mile Race Start: 10:15AM. 
• Novice & Junior  3 mile Race Start: 11:00 AM.
• FINAL: 12 PM
  • • Top 20 OPEN racers will run a 5 Mile course including 'Around the Green Can'

LOCATION: Alvarez 9th Street Park, Benicia, CA Free on-site parking -- carpooling is always a good idea!

Fees: $25 per paddler plus process fee of $1.25 = $26.25. All payments are online with your registration.
 

• Pick up your Bib number at check-in on Race Day. Your bib will be used for the Heat AND Final, hang onto it til the end of the day! 

SAFETY:  LEASH & PFD are MANDATORY to participate!
