2024 National Series - RD1: The Bewl Bash

Calling all SUP enthusiasts! Join the fun at the Bewl Bash!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, 30th March 2024, because the GBSUP National Series kicks off its 2024 season with the Bewl Bash! This friendly and welcoming SUP event takes place on the picturesque Bewl Water in Kent, England, offering something for everyone, from seasoned racers to those just starting out.

Ready to test your skills?

• • Fleet Racing: Experienced paddlers prepare for a gruelling 12km course consisting of two 6km laps. Put your technique to the test and compete for top honours.
  • Challenge Tour: New to SUP racing or looking for a less demanding course? The 6km Challenge Tour is perfect! Enjoy the camaraderie and experience the thrill of competition in a relaxed setting.
  • Junior Races: Youngsters can join the fun too! The 2km junior races provide a safe and exciting environment for kids to develop their SUP skills and make new friends.

• • Registration opens Sunday, 7th January 2024, at 7:00 pm sharp. Secure your spot early!
  • Entries close 3 days before the race day.
  • Race day is Saturday, 30th March 2024. Get ready to paddle!
     

Key timings:

• Site opens: 9:30 am. Relax, grab some coffee, and meet your fellow paddlers.
• Board drop-off: 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Get your trusty SUP ready for action.
• Check-in: 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Make sure you're officially in the race.
• Competitor briefing: 11:30 am. Learn about the course and any important race details.
• The race starts at 12:15 pm (Juniors - 2:30 pm). Time to hit the water!
• Event ceremony (estimated): 3:30 pm. Celebrate your achievements and cheer on the winners.
   

Safety first: Kent Search and Rescue will be on hand to ensure everyone's well-being.

Capture the memories: P3T Photography will be there to capture all the excitement of the day.

For your convenience:

• • Facilities: Competitors will have full use of the Bewl Water facilities, including changing rooms, toilets, showers, and the on-site cafe.
  • Board drop-off: There will be a designated board drop-off area for you to use before parking in the dedicated event car park.
