Spring Crit Series - Round 4

Orange Cycle Club - Spring Crit Series - Round 1

The Orange Cycle Club Spring Crit Series will be held over 5 weeks from Tuesday 10 October 2023. 

• Time
  • Sign on - from 4:30m
  • Junior racing - from 5:00pm
  • Senior racing - from 5:45pm, starting with C Grade
  • Racing finished - sunset
• Location
  • Weeks 1 to 3 - Orange Kart Track - Perc Griffith Way
  • Weeks 4 and 5 - Gosling Creek, Bloomfield Road
• Grades
  • Juniors (participation to U13) - dependent on numbers, with a focus on fun and skills
  • Seniors (U15 and above) - minimum 3 grades
• Entry cost 
  • Nil
•  Prizes
  • Series Prize pool - approximately $5,000 
  • Juniors - non-cash prizes
  • Seniors
    • Weekly cash prizes for place getters in all grades, plus primes
    • Series prizes based on points score (see below)
    • KOM and QOM prize for the fastest Strava time on Kart Track hill climb
• Membership
  • AusCycling All Dicipline race licence (click here) OR 4 week trial (click here)
• Catering
  • Limited hot food will be available so the kids can be fed while Mum and Dad race.
• Warm up
  • Track will be closed from 5:00pm.  Warm up on rollers/wind trainer or the public road.
• Series points
  • Series points will be cumulative across the Series
  • Riders will accrue points based on 
    • Participation - 5 points per race start (plus bonus 5 points for starting all 5 events)
    • Results
      • 1st - 5 points
      • 2nd - 3 points
      • 3rd - 2 points
      • 4th - 1 point
    • Prime
      • 1st - 1 point
    • Points will accrue irrespective of grade changes during the series
• King and Queen of the Mountain and Strava Masta
  • Strava times - bring the bike computer!
  • Seperate male and female prizes
