River Rat Paddle Challenge 2023

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE REGISTERING! Select the TANDEM OR TRIPLE option if there is MORE THAN ONE PERSON IN THE SAME KAYAK/CANOE/SUP. Each member of the Tandem or Triple will need to go to webscorer to register and pay their fee. Otherwise, select INDIVIDUAL and choose Yourself (if registering for yourself) or Someone Else (if registering a friend or family member). If you are also in a "RAT PACK," designate the rat pack name in the section beneath the participant name, so your Rat Pack is also scored together as a group. You can begin unloading your kayaks, SUPS, canoes, etc. at 6:30am at the Bayou D'arbonne Boat Ramp (2038 Bayou D'Arbonne Drive in West Monroe), aka the "Old Joe Bob's Landing" off White's Ferry Rd. Then, drive your vehicle to the finish line at Lazarre Park at 703 South Riverfront in West Monroe and ride a shuttle back to the start. Shuttles will leave Lazarre at 7:45, 8:00, and 8:15. The race officially begins with the safety briefing at 8:45am in the parking lot at the Bayou Darbonne Boat Ramp. The total distance is 7.7 miles, but we will still present the coveted River Rat Paddle Challenge awards to those who can make it to the original finish line at the Endom Bridge in an hour or less! Please note that in order to expedite the awards ceremony for our out of town guests, RACE TIMING MAY END AT 12:00. You may not have an official time if you do not finish within 2 1/2 hours. Registration includes participation in the race, a swag bag of goodies, one lunch plate and drink, and one event shirt. You may purchase an extra meal for your +1 when you register. ***YOU MUST REGISTER BEFORE SEPTEMBER 11 TO BE GUARANTEED AN EVENT SHIRT. If you cancel more than 3 weeks prior to the event date, refunds will be issued via PayPal less $3 processing fee. If you cancel less than 3 weeks prior to the event date, refunds will be given minus $20 and event shirts can be picked up at H2Go in Monroe or mailed for a $6 flat rate shipping fee.
