Steelcase The Dragon Run
This event is an international surfski and outrigger championship which takes place in Hong Kong on Saturday, 11th November 2023. The course will start at The Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club and will then proceed SE to the Ninepins Islands, then SW past Cape D’Aguilar and then to the finish line at St Stephen's Beach. The course will cover approximately 23km and, with the seasonal NE monsoon winds hopefully blowing, should see 10-20 knot winds and great downwind but very technical conditions for the majority of the race.

RACE FEES:
HK$1300 (early bird fee) before 1st October per person. $1500 after this date (No shirt after 1/10). Doubles must register twice. Race numbers, shirt, cap and goody bag must be collected prior to the event from APA OUTDOOR SHOP Wed 8/11 to Fri 10/11: 11AM - 7PM ADDRESS 16A, Gee Chang Hong Centre 65 Wong Chuk Hang Road.
CRITICAL INFORMATION:
EXPERIENCE & CUT-OFF TIME: This race is for paddlers with open ocean experience only. The cutoff time is 1hr 15 mins to Ninepins Island and 3 hours for race completion. If the Race Director believes that you may not be able to complete the race in close to 3 hours, your entry may not be approved (your entry fee would be partially refunded). The Race Director's decision is final. There is a section on the entry form to describe your open ocean paddling experience. Please email us if you're not sure about your level of ability.

If you must cancel, please notify us as soon as possible at racing@hongkongdragonrun.com.hk or Whatsapp (852) 93277372. Cancellations prior to midnight October 30th will be fully refunded. No refunds will be granted after that time.
MANDATORY SAFETY BRIEFING
DATE: Friday 10th November, 2023 TIME: ZOOM safety briefing 7pm. Final boat and safety equipment check will take place before the race start at the marina.
