Event notes

This is a leg of the 10km Series hosted by clubs around the country. Race just for fun or join in on two races plus the champs to be eligible for a series win.
Held at clubs around the country, this series has races for all ages and abilities. You can track your points and progress against other paddlers.

Each race accumulates points per below. To be eligible to win the SERIES you must race TWO races PLUS the Champs (Double points for the Champs). All paddlers who attend the Champs are eligible for spot prizes but you must have completed two series races plus the champs to be eligible for the series win.

Distances to be confirmed on the day but will be approximately:

2.5km Tyros (12 and under)
5km 14&U, 16&U
10km 18&U, Open, Masters, Ski, Multisport & doubles (any craft)
*Note: Masters divisions will be split into 35-44, 45-54, 55+ if there are sufficient entries for each age group (2 or more)

Event Tides:
Low Tide – 10:15am 0.40m,
High Tide – 16:41pm 1.70m
(Note – Event is run on the Wairoa River which is very tidal due to its location)

Entry Fees
5km = $10 10km = $20

Divisions
Divisions available for K1s and for Multi Craft (ski/multisport etc)

12&U Male & Female: 2.5km, 1 lap (lifejackets required)
14&U, 16&U Male & Female: 5km, 2 x Laps (Lifejackets Required)
18&U, Open, Masters 35-44, 45-54, 55+: 10km, 4 laps
NOTE: Need 2 or more in each age group

1:00pm to 2:00pm All Event Registrations

2:15pm Race Briefing all 2.5km & 5.0km competitors

2:30pm Race Start all 2.5km & 5.0km competitors

3:00pm Race Briefing all 10km competitors (everyone else)

3:15pm Race Start 10km
