COMPANY OF RUNNERS (CofR) are offering experienced runners the opportunity to take on the challenge of a marathon in an unsupported/ 'Lite' format. This is a circumnavigation of the nine villages named Roding in the beautiful Essex countryside of the Roding Valley.

TOEING THE LINE:
DATE: Sunday 24 April 2022
DISTANCE: 26.2ish, country miles
START/FINISH LOCATION: Cammas Hall Fruit Farm, Needham Green, Hatfield Broad Oak, Near Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, CM22 7JT
PARKING: Free
START WINDOW: 8.15am-8.45am
PRICE: £25 (Affiliated) £27 (Unaffiliated) T-shirt orders will be £5 extra.
CUT-OFF: 8 hour max if you start at 8.15am: The café shuts at 5pm, and then we all need to vacate the carpark by 5.15pm so they can lock the gate after us.
TRA RULES: no dogs, permit #tbc, min age 18.
MANDATORY KIT: Device/watch capable of uploading the gpx route to and navigating from. (The tracker app will also show route/location -links will be supplied with final instructions email two weeks prior to the race). Mobile phone. Own fuel/fluid-there are NO checkpoints.
IMPORTANT NOTE: runners must have experience of running marathon trail races. This is not a race for new or underconfident runners. Runners will be supporting themselves; there are no checkpoints nor marshals. RD will be able to track you however and will provide support in an emergency. You can have family/friends meeting you en route but not running the entire route with you as a buddy/pacer.
WHAT’S INCLUDED: tracker, route instructions/gpx, bespoke medal for finishers, personal glory, admiration and praise from CofR team.
(Note at an extra £5 each, a limited stock of technical t-shirts are available S-L. We’ll be honest-it’s leftover stock. Please email companyofrunners@gmail.com with your size and we will let you know if that t-shirt is available. First come/requested basis. To be handed out on the day. )
