Pink It Up Stanley Triathlon & Ocean Swim


Stanley is back with a small kids tri, a community Try Tri (enticer) and a bit bigger tri (sprint) all under the usual distances so achievable for everyone. We've added an Ocean Swim Only. Our event is supporting the McGrath Breast Cancer Foundation with proceeds of your entry going toward this cause rather than prizes for winners - everyone is a winner for entering. If you have pink, wear pink! Lots of it!
Kids event - a swim- wade along the shore, a short mountain bike ride along the gravel walking track and a trot along the run track. The surf club will be watching out for them in the water. Ages 7-11 years.
Community Event - a little bigger than the kids event. Around 200m swim or wade, you just need to get wet. 6km ride along the highway to the lookout and return. Any old bike will do. And a 2.5km easy trot, jog or walk along the run track and back you're done. Open to anyone over age 11 years. Easy.
Sprint Event - a little bigger again. Around 500m swim (you must be able to swim and we can change the course and distance if the water current isn't favourable) A 17 km ride along the Stanley Highway, it's open road then a 5km run (2 x 2.5km loops). A bit harder, but if you're fit you can manage it. Distances are approximate. Open to the over 14 years.
1500m Swim Only - Approx 3x 500m loops of ocean swim depending on the current and tide at the time. You must be a competent ocean swimmer for this one and 14 years and above.
All entries are online. Remember, a big portion of your entry fee is being donated to the McGrath Foundation.

Kids Event: after the adults, when the tide is a bit lower and you can cheer them on while your legs recover.
