A remote, rugged and stunning section of the southern Oregon Coast, runners will experience a multitude of microclimates, from sandy beaches to grassy bluffs to forested cliffs hundreds of feet above the ocean overlooking the waves crashing on the rocks below. From deep, dark old growth forests into wind-created tree tunnels and through ancient sand dunes. It is one jaw-dropping, camera-grabbing view after another, all day long!

The elevation profiles might make these races appear relatively easy, but we assure you they are significantly harder than you might expect. The sand sections are often soft and can slow you down a lot, especially when there's a headwind. The climbs may be short but are often steep. The single track trail sections vary from smooth fast to rough and slow. Thankfully though you get view after view after view so it doesn't matter how much you're suffering. Another challenge of these races is the limited aid with an average of 10 miles between each aid station.

The races are on the Oregon Coast Trail between the two southern most towns, Gold Beach and Brookings. The 100K and 50M are out and back style courses that start at Gold Beach, head south and then turn around and head back Gold Beach. The 100K turns around at House Rock and the 50M turns around right before Thomas Creek. The 50K is a point to point style course starting at House Rock and finishes at Gold Beach.
