Welcome to the Salt 66 2021 Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim



Now in its 67th year and the 13th year as a cageless swim, the iconic Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim is the showcase event of the Vorgee TOWSA Open Water Race Series 2021.

Enjoy North Queensland's tropical winter weather and participate in one of the most iconic open water swims in Australia.

The Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim starts from Picnic Bay on Magnetic Island and finishes on Townsville's shoreline, directly in front of Strand Park. Guided by a paddler, solo swimmers will swim a total distance of 8km. Places are also available for teams of two and teams of four.
