AKC Mini Adventure #2 Saturday, March 20, 2021

The second in a series of fun Adventures for all levels of experience, no compass or head torch needed.

Course options:Teams of TWO or THREE, mates or families, you'll work together around the entire course.

Run (or walk) leg of 2km to 5.5km, is first up.
Then a Paddle leg of 4km to 7km, finishing at Ascot Kayak Club.
Entire event open for 1.25hrs. BBQ at FINISH.
Good runners (and navigators) will collect all run checkpoints in 40 minutes. But will they have enough time to return to AKC and the delicious BBQ in time. Penalties for being late back!!!

More details:

1. Registration Deadline:
Entries close 10am Saturday 20th March 2021

2. Late Entry:
Entries on site: Not this time sorry.

3. Included in Entry Fee:
- Great Time
- BBQ at the finish
- Bus transfer to secret start location if needed.

4. Team Name:
All competitors must enter a team name.

5. Don’t Have a Boat:
Email the event organiser (grant@alarmswa.com.au) and a loan craft (single or double) can be organised.

6. Foot Wear:
Required for the run leg of event, and for at least one team member at some of the kayak checkpoints on the course.

7. Bring Kids?
The run / walk leg is mostly suitable for a pram, though young ones not paddling will need a lift back to AKC with family.

8. Quiz on Way Round:
Teams will need to write ANSWERS to questions about each of the checkpoints visited. Bring a plastic zip-lock bag.

9. COVID:
Observe good hygiene.

Event Start: All in good time, we will let you know the day before!
Finish will be Ascot Kayak Club, Fauntleroy Avenue, Ascot
4.00 pm Registration Opens
You can paddle 3.5kms ish to start if you like, or drop your kayaks to start on way to AKC.
A transfer bus will be available.
4.45 pm Rego Closes
4.50 pm Briefing & Map Handout – All participants must be present
5.00 pm Event Start
6.15 pm Everyone should be finished
6.30 pm - 8:00 pm Enjoy the include
