AKC Mini Adventure 'Event' Friday, January 15, 2021

A local fun Adventure Race for all levels of experience, no compass and no head torch needed.

Course options:Teams of TWO or THREE, mates or families, you'll work together around the entire course.

Paddle leg 2.5km to 5km, locate a minimum of 5 checkpoints.
Run (or walk) leg 1.5km to 4km, find a minimum of 10 checkpoints.
Entire event open for 60 minutes. BBQ at FINISH.
Good paddlers will collect all paddle checkpoints in 30 minutes, and same for run leg. But who will get lost, and who can’t keep track of time. Penalties for being late back!!!

1. Registration Deadline:
Entries close mid-day Friday 15th Jan 2021

2. Late Entry:
Entries on day: If you are really polite

3. Included in Entry Fee:
- Great Time
- BBQ at the finish line
- Might learn to read a map better

4. Team Name:
All competitors must enter a team name.

5. Don’t Have a Boat:
Email the event organiser (grant@alarmswa.com.au) and a loan craft (single or double) can be organised.

6. Foot Wear:
Required for the run leg of event, and for at least one team member at some of the kayak checkpoints on the course.

7. Bring Kids?
The run (or walk) leg is mostly suitable for a pram too, there is no bush-bashing or mountain climbing expected.

8. Quiz on Way Round:
Teams will need to write ANSWERS to questions about each of the checkpoints visited. Bring a plastic zip-lock bag

9. COVID:
Bring your hand sanitiser, observe required social distancing.

5.30 pm Registration Opens
If you are wanting to loan a suitable single or double ski, arrive closer to 5:00pm
5.45 pm Rego Closes
5.50 pm Course Briefing & Map Handout – All participants must be present
6.00 pm Event Start
7.00 pm All participants should be finished
7.00pm - 8:00 pm Enjoy the included BBQ, playground for the little ones adjacent start/finish line
