2020 Victorian Canoe Marathon Short Course Event, Geelong Canoe Club, Marnock Road, Newtown, VIC.

This event is being hosted by Geelong Canoe Club and held in conjunction with the PV Sprint event and will start after the sprints have concluded.

Check-in: 10:30 to 11:00 am. Briefing will be via email 12th Dec 2020. Racing starts 12:00 noon.

ICF Canoe Marathon short course format, consisting of three short laps (~1.1 km each), with two portages for Division 1 to 4, no portage for other classes.

Wearing of an approved Life Jacket / PFD (personal flotation device) is mandatory for this event.

This event will run under PV Marathon's COVID-Safe plan, which is available on the Paddle Victoria website and will be emailed to participants prior to the event.

You may enter one or two short course races (Marathon entry fee covers both Marathon races). The first event is notionally singles and the second is doubles. However, you can paddle two singles events or two doubles events if you wish.

Paddlers who enter the Sprint event (separate registration) and the Marathon event (this registration) will receive a $5 voucher to use at the coffee cart on the day.

COVID-19

• Do not attend if you have symptoms, are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine.
• Maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between others at all times.
• Observe face covering, cough etiquette and personal hygiene measures.
