Owai 5 Miler 2020





Welcome to the Owairaka Athletics 5 Miler event 2020.

This is possibly the only remaining 5-Miler distance race in New Zealand. The race will take place at Lovelock Track Mt Roskill on Sunday 15th November 2020. There are cash prizes for 1st male/ female overall, 1st masters male/ female, and also a $250 bonus for the first male under 25 minutes, and female under 28 minutes.

Along with the 5 Miler distance ($30 entry), there is also a 5km race ($20 entry), and a Kids 2.5km ($10 entry), event, so all the family can take part on the day! Children under 16 years as at 31 December 2020 are charged $10 for any distance.







Following the event, we participants to relax and enjoy the rest of the morning at a bbq with your family and friends. Please also support the Immune Deficiencies Foundation NZ who will be at the event as course marshals and also selling food and drinks, along with a variety of activities for children and families to engage with together.

Event Day Schedule:
8:00- 8:45am- Event Registration (collect race bibs)
8:50am- Race Welcome and Safety Briefing
9:00am- 5 Miler Race Start
9:20am- 5km Race Start
9:25am- First finisher expected
10:00am- BBQ/ Lunch/ Picnic event
10:30am- Last finishers expected
10:45pm 2.5km Kids dash
11:30pm- Prize Giving

This is the perfect event to round out your year, and a great way to support Owairaka Athletics, the friendliest club in New Zealand!
