Be calm… Bank Windhoek Relay goes virtual!


You can now minimize risk and be part of Namibia’s first virtual charity relay: the Bank Windhoek Virtual Relay on 1 and 2 August 2020.

Join a team with three other people anywhere in Namibia and run your distance wherever you are. Anyone and everyone can take part!

How does it work?

1. Register your team of four people:
Women's (4 females)
Mixed (2 females + 2 males OR 3 females + 1 male)
Men’s (3 males + 1 female OR 4 males)

2. Choose the distance your team will run: 21.1km (a half-marathon), 42.2km (a marathon) or 63.3km (an ultra-marathon).

3. Make your payment – N$120 per team. Choose whether to donate an additional amount to charity.

4. Decide how far each team member will run: you do not all have to run the same distance but your runs added together must equal the distance you choose:
for example, Bank Windhoek enters a team for 21.1km. Bronwyn will run 2km, Suzette will run 4km, Jacqui will run 5.1km and Erik will run 10km.

5. Make sure you have an activity tracker app on your phone, watch or device (for example, Strava, Google Fit, FitBit) that will track your run and upload it online.

6. All team members must run between 12:00 noon on Saturday, 1 August, and 12:00 noon on Sunday, 2 August. No runs done before or after these times will count.

7. Take your Relay Team photos and selfies and post them on social media with #BWRelay2020 to win great prizes!

8. Send one email with the online links to all four runs by 12:00 noon on Monday, 3 August.

9. Watch the leaderboard to see if you grab a podium position.

10. Check your email to see if you have won a cash prize or a lucky draw prize.
