Gwynn's Island Festival Race - Changing in 2020


Safety restrictions in place to protect against the spread of Coronavirus allow for certain group activities: exercise is approved & encouraged so we are moving forward with this event - with modifications. The start times for this race will be set on an individual basis. Each participant will be assigned a specific start time during daylight hours on Sat, 6/27 allowing for a time between participants. Your start time may be as early as 6:30am and as late as 6:30pm. All participants will run the same course; live results will be available throughout the day via webscorer.com so you can monitor your standings.

The Course is 4 Miles


The course start & finish point is on Gwynn's Island in Mathews County VA, and will be clearly marked with signage -- there will not be a water stop along the route for safety -- participants should plan to bring their own water (drop it along the route as you approach the event or leave it at your vehicle in the finish area).

$12.50 Registration & Payment


This unique event set up means that you will be completing the course solo -- the only exception is for members of your household who also sign up. Please indicate during the registration process if a member of your immediate household is signing up and your start time will be scheduled together. Registration will close on Sunday, June 21 and your registration fee must be paid on that date as well. For the protection of the timing team, no race day registration or payment is available -- and we ask that non-participants (spectators) remain in or near your vehicle at all times. Start times will be assigned and communicated on Monday, June 22 for all who have registered and paid.

NOTE: This registration tool (Webscorer.Com) accepts payment via PayPal only. We added an option to register and request an invoice -- VTTR will email an invoice allowing payment via credit card.
