Feilding Moa Harriers – How we will operate under COVID-19 Alert Level 2

Under initial Level 2 restrictions we are limited to 10 person bubbles, so we will not conduct club activities during that. Once limits are raised to 50 or more for non-contact outdoor activities we plan to commence.
Here is an outline of our plans to allow a safe return to running:

We’ve cleaned and sanitised the Timona Park clubrooms and all club gear

Our first planned run is a scratch race (to give the handicappers some info to give you an accurate handicap later in the season) at Timona Park. Subesquent events will follow a similar protocol.

We will hold 2 IDENTICAL events with a 50-person limit per event (or more if the latest Ministry of Health Guideline allow) - one starting at 12.30pm & the other at 2pm.
ALL PARTICIPANTS are required to pre-register by the Friday before race-day using an entry link via Webscorer will be provided so you can register prior to Saturday’s race
• You and your family will select from a 12.30 start option or 2:00pm
• We may need to limit race numbers in each race. If these races fill up then we will look to potentially run another race to make sure everyone has a chance to participate.
• The Webscorer entry system will provide part of our contact tracing process plus allow us to have “contactless” recording or times
• Race Bibs will be issued (rather than writing with a Vivid pen on your hand), and you will retain that same Bib for the entire season

• we will provide hand washing facilities but ask you bring your own towel to completely dry your hands after washing them with soap & water.
• With regret, our shared afternoon teas are cancelled until further notice.
• All Covid-19 public health measures will apply during our 2020 season - social distancing, hand washing, stay home if you’re sick etc.

Webscorer entry allows us to contact trace runners/walkers, however we also need to know anyone you bring with you to spectate – they will be asked to provide details on our contact tracing register - this will be clearly identified with signage. This will be retained for four weeks.

• Arrive no more than 15 mins prior to the start of your race and at that time collect your race bib
• Do your own warmup rather than hang around in large groups.
• Listen for announcements over the loud speaker and come to the start line only when directed.
• Our timekeeping officials (and officials in general) will be keeping social distance - please do not approach them asking for your time - these will be on our website in the evening following the race.
• Once you have finished your race please do not congregate – maintain a 2 metre distance wherever practical so please warm down and depart as soon as possible
