Event notes
CONNECT-CAMPskateIA will occur via zoom (not Seattle) but still offer high quality Instructors with an ability to obtain video feedback. he registration date above should be ignored - The dates are August 15/16, 2020 and Instructor Day is Friday August 14th. CAMP is open to all inline & quad skaters.
Camp Skate IA is the only camp/workshop of it's kind in North America. Come to Skate CAMP to up your level, learn new moves/tricks/methods and basic techniques and meet like minded skaters who share your passion for skating. Classes include: basic-advanced fundamentals, Race/Marathon, Dance, Jam, Slalom and Artistic.
NO REFUNDS once you are registered. And many classes will be recorded and available for up to 30 days after camp, so you can watch what you missed or re-watch to expand your learning. Event organizer is not responsible for technical issues, and other challenges in attending event. It is our 10th year, and it can be life changing.
How it works: For nearly all classes, the Instructors will film their topic in advance and you will be provided with early access to view the video on our platform and practice. You can film yourself and submit it for review during the class. Due to an unknown number of participants, we cannot guarantee any or all of your videos will be reviewed and we will endeavor to make it happen! Classes will be double and triple tracked so several classes will be going on at the same time.
Saturday night DISCO free for all skaters , via zoom, but wait: It's all vinyls, run by a real DJ with a light show and back up dancers. We invite you to join on via zoom and skate in your house, or outside where you can get internet and join us. It's open to all skaters.
Instructor Day is August 14th and is open to all current SkateIA members. It is a free day for you. The info to log on will be in our newsletter, so ensure you receive it. The day will be full of tips and classes to level up your skills at teaching and expand your offerings.
