Event notes
1. Please note that this event is aimed at NOVICE Triathletes or Duathletes. By "Novice", we mean an individual who has NOT completed any triathlon or duathlon anywhere in the world in 2019. We would also exclude any triathletes with extensive race experience, as this is a short race aimed at beginners.

2. All competitors must attend a pre-race briefing on the rules and the route, which should be as follows, but may change on the day:

First Run (1.8km): Run in a massed start from the North end of Eastern Beach Road. After completing the first lap on the road, runners will be guided by cones onto the pavement for a second lap. After completing the second of TWO laps, follow the cones to the Transition Area.

Cycle (5.4 km): Securely fasten your helmet, collect your bike and push it out of the Transition Area. Cycle the length of Eastern Beach Road between two mini-roundabouts, always taking care with other cyclists. Complete SIX laps and return to the Transition Area.

Second Run (0.9 km): Exit transition and run along the pavement to the end of Eastern Beach Road. Then turn around, and still on the pavement, run back towards the finish line after ONE lap.

4. Competitors are responsible for counting their own bike and run laps, and may be disqualified or penalised for not covering the full distance.

5. Safety is our top priority, followed by fair competition. Organisers will disqualify anyone they consider to be breaking either safety or competitive rules.

6. Competitors will be given timing transponders, which they will be responsible for and must return at the end of the race. Any competitor who fails to return the transponder and/or the corresponding ankle strap will have to pay for the replacement cost.

The Gibraltar Triathlon Association reserves the right to reject any application and to refuse entry to any competitor on race day.
