New Biathlete Policy

New biathletes are required to attend the USBA Safety Class before competing in any WBA event.

Due to the nature of our competition and location of the range, new biathletes will NOT be able to take the safety class AND compete on the same day. This First Timer Intro will cover the USBA Safety Class, trail pass, training on how to score competitions, and, when possible, a short shooting lesson AFTER the races have finished for the day (including ammo and use of a club rifle).

Ski rentals are NOT included in this registration, but Stevens Pass Nordic Center offers rentals on location.

EVENT PARTICULARS:

Safety Class Site: The Stevens Pass Nordic Center is located on U.S. Hwy 2, five miles east of the summit of Stevens Pass. The lecture portion of the USBA Safety Class will be held at the Stevens Pass Nordic Center lodge at 8:45AM. After completing the classroom portion, participants will make there way to the range 3km up Main Line Trail. While at the biathlon range you will be given instruction on how scoring works and be able to watch the competion from the firing line.

Competition Site: The Biathlon Range is a 3km ski from the Nordic Center. Do not buy a trail pass, it is covered in your entry fee. We provide bottled water at the range but there is no food service. As the races run from morning into the afternoon it is a good idea to bring food.
