Race starts at 2pm. Registration from 1.15 - 1.45pm
Swimmers head north from Tahunanui Beach, starting at 2pm and will reach the dolphin navigation marker at about high tide, turning south to follow the toe of Haulashore Island around to the second navigation marker to the south of the island, then back to the beach. Competitors in the short swim of 1300m will walk to the Richardson St steps, swimming straight back to Tahunanui Beach, starting 30 minutes after the 3.8km race. All competitors must register at Tahunanui Beach by 1:45pm. High tide 2.44pm (3.6m).

Note: Series swim cap is $5, if you don't already have one.
No club or student discounts available for this event.

Given the nature of the event and the challenges of tide and wave conditions, it is important that all athletes feel comfortable and confident swimming 500m front crawl, whilst making significant forward progress at all times. Adherence to this requirement will be at the sole discretion of the race director.
