Event notes

WHAT: Two events will be offered to celebrate Davis and Elkins Homecoming weekend: a 5k road race and a “splash-n-dash” (300-yard pool swim followed by a 2-mile run). Proceeds from both events will benefit the Davis and Elkins College athletic programs.

WHERE: Packet pick-up / Registration located at Davis & Elkins College near the pool.

WHEN: Saturday, September 21
“Splash-n-Dash”
• Packet pick-up / race day registration begins at 6:30 am
• Packet pick-up / registration closes at 7:15 am
• Pre-Race meeting on D&E Pool Deck at 7:45 am.
• Race begins at 8 am.
• Swim: 300-yard INDOOR pool swim. Time Trial Start. Participants will be seeded according to their 100-yard swim time (fastest going first). The swim will be proceed in a serpentine manner through D&E's 6-lane pool. You will then exit the pool, put on your running shoes, and immediately head out on a 2 mile run.

5k Road Race
• Packet pick-up and race day registration begins at 6:30 am
• Packet pick-up / registration closes at 8:15 am
• Race begins at 9 am.

RACE FEES:
• Early Registration: $20 for registration before September 8, 2019.
• You may register after the early registration deadline up until and including race day for $20. However, T-Shirts are only guaranteed for early registrants.
• The colleges payment form is not currently set up. However, payment can be made with cash/check on the day of the race.

AWARDS:
• As this is the inaugural Senator Splash-n-Dash / 5k event, there will not be awards at this event. However, it is our hope that this race will grow and we will have the means to provide awards in the future!
