Welcome to the 2019 Bondi to Rose Bay Ocean Race

This event is hosted by Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club Inc (BSBLSC) and supported and assisted by Shark Island Paddlers of Rose Bay.

The event is run by volunteers and proceeds go to the BSBLSC to support vital life saving activities.

This race is for competent and experienced open ocean paddlers only.

Entries


Standard: $50 (close at 11:59pm on Tues 22nd Oct)
Late: $65 (close at 9:00pm on Fri 25th Oct)
Raceday: $85 CASH only, no EFTPOS (7:00am - 8:00am Sat 26th Oct)

Race info


Date: sábado, 26 de octubre de 2019

Briefing: 9am (compulsory for all paddlers)
Race start: 10:00am (all divisions)
Distance: 14km approx (no short course)
Presentation: 12:00pm
Approved PFDs (Level 50S or greater) to be worn by all paddlers.

Check-in & Race number stickers

Check-in: 7:00am to 8:30am at Bondi Surf Club (compulsory for all paddlers).
This is where you will be provided with your race number sticker that you must attach to your craft.
No Sticker = No Result (DNS)
There will be no refunds for no-shows or failure to attend check-in.

Race logistics tip


Drop your ski at Bondi Beach (Start) and park your car at Rose Bay (Finish), then get transport back to Bondi Beach.

Race course


A deep-water start from Bondi, then an ocean course north to South Head, entering the enclosed waters of Sydney Harbour. The finish is at Rose Bay between two flags positioned at the water’s edge at the beach at Rose Bay, adj to the new Woollahra Sailing Club boat ramp and Cranbrook Boat shed.

If heavy weather we may run the race within the more sheltered waters of Sydney Harbour, starting and finishing at Rose Bay.
