Biyakathon XC

Trail running (4.8mi) and lake kayaking (2.7mi) combined to make an adventure race like no other! Race SOLO or TEAM Relay.

Run the ‘LASSO’, a 2.8 mile dirt trail with 3 creek crossings, roots and sharp elevation changes. Bomb a wicked downhill portion of trail on the way back to the asphalt finish. The asphalt portion is 2 miles totaling 4.8 miles of beautiful forest running.

Tag your partner OR grab your boat and put in on Speedwell Forge Lake. Complete one lap (2.7 miles) and finish the race paddling past the finishing dock.

Ages 13+ are welcome. 13-15 year-olds must be part of a team and may not participate in the kayak leg.

Biyakathon Solo ($50) because you trust no one to race with you! OR 2 person Relay TEAM ($80), you have a runner and a boater. Online ONLY registration starting 9/4. Registration closes 11:59pm September 13th. Shirt sizes are only guaranteed to be available until 8/31.

Awards

Top 3 overall male & female SOLO Biyakers. 1st and 2nd place male & female SOLO Biyakers in age brackets: Juniors (16-19), Adults (20-39), Masters (40-59) and Grand Masters (60+). Awards for 1st place Biyaking TEAM.

Waivers

A race morning requirement. No exceptions or refunds. Mother Nature is in charge… the course may change prior to the event. We will keep registered racers with valid email addresses updated accordingly. This event is rain or shine! No refunds for hazardous weather cancellations.
