This new event of RRA is a duathlon or run on the newly developed mountain bike trails out in Barnes Canyon just a few miles outside of Caliente, Nv.
The event will be a 30k for the duathlon and a 28k for the run. This course will be 2 laps total held on single-track mountain bike trails. Each lap will be approximately 1,100 elevation gain,challenging, and scenic.
30k Trail Duathlon - Lap 1 - 16k bike, Lap 2 - 14k run - Solo $65 or Relay (2 person relay only) $45 ea. entrant.
28k Trail Run - 14k run each lap - Solo $65 or Relay (2 person relay only) $45 ea. entrant.
Online registration will be available till September 26th at midnight. Race Day registration will be available one hour prior to race start only, entry will increase by $5 and no guarantee of race event hat.
*Register by Sept 4th to guarantee a custom race hat!
The 30k duathlon will be mountain bike the first lap, 10.1 miles (16k), then run the second lap, 8.75 miles (14k). Each course will be slightly different for the bike course, lap 1, and the running course, lap 2. Participants can enter the 30k Trail Duathlon as an individual, compete in it solo, or with a teammate, relay. Maximum number of participants for each team is 2. *Can sign up individually but must fill in the same team name!
For the 28k Trail Run, the running course is again slightly different then the bike course and will also be 2 laps, each lap approximately 8.75 miles (14k x 2 = 28k).
Each participant will receive a custom event race trucker hat, custom medal, and food/drinks. There will be prizes given to the top 3 overall finishers in each category; 30k Trail Duathlon Solo, 30k Trail Duathlon Relay, 28k Trail Run Solo, and 28k Trail run Relay. Also, the course will have designated spots to collect poker chips for your Poker enjoyment.
