2019 PaddleNSW Marathon Series - Race 1 & State Championships - Singles


Paddlers entering one of the three State Championship classes (ICF, ICF Non Portage, Rec) will be awarded points based on their finishing position within their Age/Class category. (1st = 50 points, 2 = 49 points, etc)

Points will be awarded to all finishers in all Age/Class categories and these will be carried back into their Division pointscore according the to 2019 Marathon Series Rules.

Paddlers entering the Non-Championship classes will be awarded 46 Bonus points regardless of finishing position.

Race Briefing 10:15am
Race starts from 11:00am

Watch for the START LIST email on Friday night (1 March 2019) for start order.

ICF SELECTION CLASSES;

....are for ICF K & C boats only, and for paddlers seeking selection to the PaddleNSW Team to represent NSW at the National Championships in Perth in May 2019. Selection Classes require all Masters paddlers (35-64) to Portage as per ICF Rules. Masters 65+ are not required to Portage.
Paddlers not seeking SELECTION, but who are willing to compete, and portage, are encouraged to enter the Selection events.

ICF NON SELECTION CLASSES (NON-PORTAGE) ;

....are for ICF K boats who do not wish to Portage, AND for ICF Ocean Racing Skis, who are not required to portage - Team Selection is not available for these entrants (Masters seeking Team Selection should enter the relevant ICF Selection class)

REC CLASSES;

....are for all TK, Recreational & Unrestricted class kayaks (inc Sea Kayaks & SLSA Spec Skis)

Non-Championship Races;

....are for those paddlers who wish to paddle their regular distance but not compete in the Championships.
