Chasing the mermaid is a point to point 3.9 mile fun run or bike (must use beach cruiser) starting at Kubel’s Too restaurant and ending at The Engleside Inn. There will be a check in point At Terrace Tavern/Oyster House at mile 2 where you have to check in and do an optional shot of Amador bourbon or 1 push-up. Participants must be 21 years of age or older and will receive three drink tickets one good for each bar with their entry fee. You can use your drink tickets at any of the bars or all at one bar. Participants chosing to stay at the Engleside Inn will get a special room rate of $99 call 609-492-1251 to book and say you want the Chasing the Mermaid rate.

Race starts at 6:30pm registration / happy hour featuring Tres Agaves starts at 5:30pm at Kubels Too 82ND ST. & LONG BEACH BOULEVARD BRIGHTON BEACH, NJ 08008

Participants must be 21 or over and follow the rules of the road with a twist. If you come to a red light you must go left or right. Green lights that can proceed straight runners should run against traffic bikers MUST bike with traffic. You can not wait at the light till the light turns green. There will be awards for the first male & female finishers to get to the Engleside Inn.

Note this is a point to point race, you are responsible for arranging your way back to the start if that is where your car is parked.at Kubels Too. We recommend you arrange to to carpool leaving a car on each end of the race.
