The MQT Trails Festival Cross Country Mountain Bike race takes place on many of Marquette County's best trails, which have also been rated among the top trails to ride in the nation. Riders will experience a great variety of trail types including flow trail segments, classic bench cut singletrack of varying difficulty, long climbs, fast descents and of course lots of technical singletrack. Short segments of 2 track and road are interspersed to accommodate passing.

Great POINT to POINT COURSE FOR 2018. The race will start at the Forrestville trail head and end at the Ski hill.

The race will include Single Speed and Fat Bike classes. Racing in the Fat Bike category require bikes with 3.8" or greater diameter tires.

Participants will receive a commemorative Marquette Trails Festival Hat (one hat per participant even if competing in multiple festival events).

NOTES:
Race distance is approximately 31 miles. Race consists of 2 separately timed stages. Racers must ride from end of stage 1 to start of stage 2, the transfer section is not timed.

The race will start at 9:00AM. Packet pick - up will be open at the Marquette Mountain Ski Lodge beginning at 7am on day of race. Race day registration is allowed. Packet pick up is also available on Friday evening at the registration tables.

Limited numbers of preferred starting spots are available for the race. Eligible riders must submit a race resume showing OVERALL finishes in the top 10% of comparable races in the past 12 months to marquettetrailsfest@gmail.com.
