5th Annual Ka'u Coffee Trail Run


On September 22, 2018 the Ka'u Coffee Trail Run returns for its 5th year offering moderate to highly-challenging 5K, 10K and 1/2 marathon races through macadamia nut and coffee fields along the beautiful slopes of rural Ka'u on the southern side of Hawaii Island.

Sponsored by 'O Ka'u Kakou, a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) non -profit community service organization. All proceeds from this event stay in Ka'u to benefit the Ka'u community.

The race begins and ends at the Ka'u Coffee Mill in Pahala (Wood Valley). The course starts with a family-friendly 5K, continues uphill through a moderately-challenging 10K and reaches a 3100-foot elevation in the vigorously-exhilarating Half Marathon.

Runners will receive a race goodies bag, including a T-shirt and more.

On-line registration opens May 1st...
Register before midnight by July 09, 2018, for Early registration, before August 13th for Regular registration and before September 10th for Late registration. Registration ends midnight 9/20/18.

Race day, "non-online", registration ends September 22, 2018 at 6:30 AM. We need to provide runner's information to the race timers...

Course Description:
The 5K: is a family-friendly, run/walk trail through macadamia nut groves and coffee fields
The 10K: is a moderate run through macadamia nut groves and coffee fields
The Half Marathon: follows the 5K & 10K course, then continues up to an elevation of 3100 feet, traverses onto a 4-wheel drive access road, marked trails undulating through grazing pastures.

May 01: 5K/$25, 10K/$35, HM/$45
July 09: 5K/$30, 10K/$40, HM/$50
Aug 13: 5K/$35, 10K/$45, HM/$55
Sep 10: 5K/$55, 10K/$65, HM/$75
On Race Day: $75
