To help with the organisation of the winter series and to remove some of the manual overhead, we are looking to automate as much of the registration process as possible.

As a result we have developed an online booking form which allows you to book for either individual races or for the whole series, and is linked automatically to our new scoring system. This will enable us to automate series points and publish quickly via social media after each race.

Each paddler will be given a bib number which will stay with them for the series. This will be communicated to each paddler at registration on the day of each race and the paddler will need to shout their bib number when they cross the finish line.

As an added incentive, we are offering discount by booking in advance via the registration page:
• Normal costs – Members £5 per race or Non Members £10
• Booking all 5 winter race series – Members £18.75, Non Members £37.50

You will still be able to register & pay on the day however costs to participate will be higher and you’ll need to allow some extra time:
• Members – On day payment £6
• Non Members – On day payment £12

Going forward, we will be also be making an effort to start briefings at 10am sharp for each race and would encourage anyone who is wishing to take part to arrive at the latest by 09.30am. This will then allow those that are running to a tight deadline to participate as well.


Whats involved?
Each event is a stand-alone day filled with a collection of fun racing based activities. We know some of you will approach it with a little apprehension at first so we will also run regular coaching sessions and a mix of event types to cater for all from complete beginners, novices and the more experienced paddler.
Racing really shouldn’t be seen as intimidating, it’s just about getting around a course, with other people and having some fun.
