2025 Siberian Rendezvous, and Sammy's Too!

Welcome to the Siberian Rendezvous, and Sammy's too! sled dog race!
This race celebrates Siberians and other Northern Breeds historically bred as sled dogs! Enjoy the thrill and camaraderie with Colorado Mountain Mushers as we bring sled dog races back to the Snowy Range.

Online Registration:

• Race entries capped at 60.
• Closes at Midnight on Tuesday, March 4th.
• Late entries will add $15.
• National Forest permit is still pending - entries will be refundable if event is canceled due to lack of permit.

Location:
TIC'S Parking Lot, 2RQQ+RV, Woods Landing-Jelm, WY 82070. Directly off of Hwy 230, approximately 4 miles north of the Colorado border and 36 miles west of Laramie, WY.

Directions:

• From Denver, CO: Take I-25 North to exit 281, E Co Rd 70/Owl Canyon Rd, take a left. Take a right onto W County Rd 72 north, then take a right onto US-287 N. Continue to Laramie. Take I-80 W, then exit 311 to Snowy Range Rd. Take a left and follow WY-230 W to TICS Parking Area.
• From Casper, WY: Take WY-220 W to WY-487 S. In Medicine Bow, turn left onto US-287/US-30 E and continue to Laramie. Take a right onto WY-230/Snowy Range Rd and continue to TICS Parking Area.

General Information:

• No camping allowed in parking lot.
• No alcohol allowed in parking lot.
• General public may walk through Musher Parking Area. General public will be advised to stand out of the way of starting chute aided by CMM parking attendant.

Trail/Course Details:

• 11-12 mile course is mostly a loop - approximately 2.5 miles into the trail is where the loop starts.
• All other courses are out and back but will have a wide trail for head on passing.
• Courses have gentle hills/slopes and turns. Elevation gain/loss likely not to exceed 400ft at once.
• Parking area, start/finish chute sit at about 9,000ft elevation.

Class Options/Explanations/Info:

• Registered Northern Breeds - AKC registered Siberians, Samoyed, Malamutes, etc. - All dogs on team must be registered. PALs accepted here!
• Registered Siberians - AKC registered Siberians (No PALs, sorry!), SHCA supported with medals - Available for 4 dog and both 6 dog classes only.
• Rescue Team - At least half the dogs on the team must be northern-ish breed rescues (6 dog sled must have at least 3 rescue dogs, etc.)

    • Mixes allowed (50% Siberian, 50% GSD? Cool!), no registration, DNA, or proof required. HONOR SYSTEM RULES, please be honest! This class is for FUN to recognize hardworking rescue dogs and the mushers that have given them a loving home!
    • Other dogs must be Registered Northern Breed (until All Breed opens).

• All Breed opens Feb 15th if entry cap is not reached.
• All participants will be emailed a form to list AKC names/numbers/breed (except All Breed entries). This must be filled out and returned by March 5th

Musher's Banquet:

• Saturday March 8th, 6pm at Wycolo Lodge, $25/person - purchase tickets with race entry.

    • Chef Gary has a delicious buffet planned for you all! 3 entree choices (incl. vegetarian option), salad/sides, dessert, basic drinks (coffee, tea, etc.). Alcohol not included. Please bring cash for tipping if desired.
