Welcome to the Port Elliot Open Water Swim hosted by the Atlantis Masters Swimming Club. The swim is 1 lap (900m) or 2 laps (1,800m) of a triangular course at Horseshoe Bay Port Elliot.
Entry Fee: MSSA and Swimming SA Members: $40; Non-members & Late Entry $50 ($45 plus $5.00 Insurance)
Late Entry: Late entries may be accepted on race day. Masters Swimming members who are late entrants will be designated as Non-member entrants and their results will not be counted in their club points total.
Registration will be open from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Swimmer briefing will be at 3.45pm and the race will commence at 4.00pm.
The Race: 1.8 km (2 Lap) OWS will commence at 4pm and the 900 m (1 Lap) OWS at 4:03pm. Swimmers will be required to swim a triangular course marked by buoys starting adjacent the jetty near Port Elliot SLSC. A map of the course will be displayed in the registration area.
Presentations will be at Port Elliot SLSC.
Water Cover is provided by Port Elliot SLSC providing a safe environment for everyone.
Pre- Race Information: Updates will be sent via email to registered swimmers.
Cancellation Policy: Weather conditions and water temperature in particular can contribute to an unsafe environment for swimmers. Atlantis Masters consults with Surf Lifesavers and if we consider conditions to be unsafe, we will make the decision to cancel the event. Atlantis Masters incurs significant cost in running the event, irrespective of whether the event is held or not.
Refund policy
A refund will NOT be offered if the event is cancelled on the day of the event. If the event is cancelled prior to the day of the event, a refund will be provided to swimmers and swimmers will be notified via email.
